• Sideways plateaus and declines during bear markets as expensive coins lose value until investor capitulation occurs.
Valuation frameworks for Bitcoin Market Cap:
• Market Cap ($580B): Values circulating supply at spot price.
• Realized Cap ($397B): Aggregate value 'saved' or 'stored' in BTC.
• Investor Cap ($345B): Net value (profit minus loss) in secondary market transactions.
• Thermocap ($50B): Primary production market of BTC by miners.
Realized Profit/Loss is more significant than Thermocap in determining Realized Cap. This emphasizes the importance of on-chain analysts focusing on secondary market Realized Profit/Loss.
